Terry A. White

In memoriam of Terry White.
We were deeply saddened by the passing of our long time and esteemed colleague Terry White on January 19, 2026.
Terry A. White was an experienced litigation attorney who represented clients throughout Nebraska and Iowa in matters involving business and employment issues. She practiced law for 30 years. Her clientele included plaintiffs and defendants throughout Nebraska. She was experienced in cases involving commercial disputes, trust, and estate litigation, and she worked extensively in cases involving disputes among beneficiaries, real estate disputes, white-collar matters involving fraud, civil rights, and workplace discrimination cases. She tried cases in the state, tax, and federal courts. Her dedication to her clients went above and beyond, and she was proud to serve the clients of Burnett Legal Group with excellence.
In 1978, Terry graduated from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota with a B.A. in Physical Education and a minor in Business. She went on to obtain her J.D., graduating cum laude in 1986 from the Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska. She served as a Moot Court Board member and traveling team member, as well as on the Board of Editors for the Creighton Law Review. She started practicing law in Nebraska in 1986.
Terry received an AV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell®—the highest possible rating. Over the years, Terry remained an active part of the Omaha community. She served as an adjunct legal writing professor at Creighton University School of Law for nine years, assisting law students in achieving an advanced education. She was also a member of a number of organizations such as the Nebraska Association of Trial Lawyers. A native of Northwest Iowa, Terry enjoyed spending time with her husband. Her activities included playing with her two golden retrievers, horseback riding, and competing in equestrian events.
