We asked DeAna to assist us with updating our wills and implement an estate plan and trust. During this process, DeAna took the time to explain and re-explain the different legal options that best suited us for our first trust. She was able to communicate in simple terms the pros and cons and helped us determine what was best for us by providing examples, based on our life situation. Through her thoughtful guidance, we learned to look at situations through a legal lens, which spared us potential dilemmas down the road. We had a self-implemented time frame to accomplish our estate plan and DeAna took the initiative to make sure this happened. She also explained that even though the paperwork was complete, that we have homework to do before the trust was truly implemented. There was a lot to do, but it was worth it, knowing that the follow-up work meant our family and assets would be protected and implemented according to our wishes. Throughout the process, we felt comfortable and confident with DeAna’s guidance. She is professional, wicked smart about estate laws, and has a great sense of humor, which is important when dealing with such a personal and sensitive matter as death.
